“The Laughing Policeman” featured in Ethel & Ernest film

"The Laughing Policeman" by Charles Penrose (New Songs Administration Ltd) was recently featured in Raymond Brigg’s 2016 poignant animated movie "Ethel & Ernest" based on the award winning graphic novel by Raymond Briggs. It is an affectionate depiction of the life of Raymond and his mother and father as they lived through extraordinary events including the impact of World War 2, the advent of mass television and the birth of the Welfare State. The film's impressive voice cast includes Brenda Blethyn and Jim Broadbent.
